Best time to visit Barcelona in short

For La Rambla, the season matters less for the street than for what surrounds it. Opening hours, walking-tour schedules and the night walk all change between summer and winter. The weather changes too: July and August are the hottest months, and October is the wettest.

The figures below are 1981 to 2010 climate normals for the Barcelona airport weather station at El Prat de Llobregat, 4 m (13 ft) above sea level. They are monthly averages, not readings from the Rambla and not a forecast. Check a forecast a few days before you leave. Whichever month you pick, the Rambla rebuild is aimed at 2027, so some stretches may be fenced off.
